inp.polri.go.id - Bali. The Bali Regional Police Quality Control Task Force conducted monitoring and checking of rice prices and availability in Denpasar City.
The activity targeted several businesses, from vendors at Kreneng Traditional Market to rice distributors, as part of an effort to ensure that food commodity trade is conducted in accordance with regulations.
During the activity, officers inspected several types of rice, including premium, medium, and SPHP rice, at the Kamila Shop in Kreneng Traditional Market.
The inspections revealed several premium and medium rice varieties being sold above the established Highest Retail Price (HET). For premium rice with a HET of IDR 14,900 per kilogram, among others, a 25-kilogram Putri Sejati rice was sold for IDR 15,920 per kilogram, a 10-kilogram rice for IDR 16,300 per kilogram, and a 5-kilogram rice for IDR 16,800 per kilogram.
Similar findings were also found for Ratu Ayu brand rice. Meanwhile, a 5-kilogram Sido Makmur rice was sold for IDR 16,400 per kilogram and a 25-kilogram rice for IDR 15,600 per kilogram.
For medium-sized rice with a retail price of IDR 13,500 per kilogram, officers found a 25-kilogram Nasi Tempong rice being sold for IDR 14,800 per kilogram. Meanwhile, for SPHP rice with a retail price of IDR 12,500 per kilogram, the selling price was IDR 12,000 per kilogram, still below the retail price. Based on these findings, officers advised traders to adhere to applicable pricing regulations when selling rice to the public.
Subsequently, the Bali Regional Police Quality Control Task Force inspected CV Sari Limo, one of the rice distributors/suppliers supplying commodities to traders at Kreneng Traditional Market. The inspection revealed several premium and medium-sized rice varieties also selling for above the retail price.
A 25-kilogram Putri Sejati rice was sold for IDR 15,600 per kilogram, a 10-kilogram rice for Rp15,800 per kilogram, and a 5-kilogram rice for IDR 16,200 per kilogram. Meanwhile, 25-kilogram Ratu Ayu rice is sold for IDR 15,600 per kilogram, 10-kilogram rice for IDR 15,800 per kilogram, and 5-kilogram rice for IDR 16,200 per kilogram. For Nasi Tempong medium rice, 5-kilogram rice is sold for IDR 15,600 per kilogram and 25-kilogram rice for IDR 15,300 per kilogram.
Based on the inspection results, officers again reminded CV Sari Limo to comply with applicable rice pricing regulations and trade regulations.
This monitoring activity is part of the Bali Police Quality Control Task Force's efforts to monitor the distribution chain and prices of rice commodities, ensuring that food availability and prices at the trader and distributor levels can be monitored.
