Inp.polri.go.id - Maluku. The Maluku Regional Police focused on the security effort for the upcoming election on February 14th, 2024. One of the efforts continuously taken is by communicating with the general public in the area.   “The pre-emptive Task Force continuously came directly to meet with the general public to convey security messages. The expectation is that the during the time of election campaign, everything would go smoothly and safely,” says Maluku Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Roem Ohoirat on Thursday (1/4/2024).   To the general public, Roem implores to jointly support the election that is full of peace, respectful, and uphold high tolerance while nurturing the state unity.   “People are asked to be cautious with hoax news and hate speech ahead the 2024 General Election. They were also reminded to respect the law and avoid any unlawful actions,” adds Roem.   In his closing statement, Roem asked the general public to jointly create a safe and conducive situation so that peaceful and fair election could be realized smoothly.   (ad/rz/pr/nm)
