Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Directorate General of Immigration has officially opened applications for a limited stay visa (VITAS) under the E30 index, allowing foreign nationals to pursue non-formal education in the country.

“The application for a non-formal education visa is submitted online at evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Foreigners must have a sponsor—either an individual or a non-formal educational institution,” said Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman on Wednesday  (16/7/2025), as quoted by antaranewsy.com.

He noted that the visa is valid for one or two years.

The new policy, effective Monday, enables foreigners to attend language courses, vocational schools, or other career-supporting non-formal programs. The requirements include a passport valid for at least six months, proof of sufficient living funds (minimum US$2,000), and a recent color photo.

The government also extended formal education visa validity up to four years. Tuition and visa fees vary depending on the duration of stay.
