Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi expressed profound national grief following the passing of Indonesia’s 6th Vice President, Try Sutrisno, at the Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) on Monday morning (2/3/2026). 

The retired army general, who served from 1993 to 1998, died at approximately 7 am, prompting immediate preparations for a state funeral with full military honors.

"We feel a very deep sense of loss and have instructed the State Secretariat and military command to provide the highest level of care for the funeral proceedings," said Minister Prasetyo Hadi as reported by antaranews.com

The body was laid to rest at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta.
