inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) is implementing Operation Ketupat 2026 to secure the Eid homecoming season and return traffic for two weeks, from March 13 to March 25, 2026.
The INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo explained that 2,746 posts have been prepared to provide maximum security and service to the public during the high volume traffic.
Sigit detailed that 1,624 posts will focus on security and serve as information centers and traffic flow management. Thousands of these posts will be set up throughout Indonesia.
Meanwhile, another 779 will be used as service posts to provide rest areas for tired drivers. 343 integrated posts will serve as control centers for Operation Ketupat 2026.
"Of course, there will also be rest areas and various services that we have prepared for the public traveling home," Sigit said at a cross-sectoral coordination meeting at the PTIK Building, South Jakarta, Monday (3/2/2026).
Furthermore, Sigit stated that officers are focusing on a total of 185,608 security targets, including places of worship, tourist attractions, shopping centers, terminals, ports, train stations, and airports.
"Relevant stakeholders need to be involved to jointly provide services at tourist attractions, places of worship, public transportation, homecoming routes, both toll roads and arterial roads, inter-island crossings, and shopping centers and rest areas," Sigit concluded.
