inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. The East Java Regional Police's Water and Air Unit Directorate uncovered four alleged criminal cases between October 15 and 23, 2026. These cases involved the shipment of protected wildlife, the transportation of shark parts without the required documentation, the shipment of thousands of bottles of Balinese arak, and the alleged misuse of subsidized diesel fuel.

The disclosures were made through the Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate of the East Java Regional Police's Water and Air Unit Directorate as part of law enforcement efforts and to maintain public order and security.

The Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Jules Abraham Abast, announced the disclosures during a press conference at the East Java Regional Police's Water and Air unit on Monday (10/26/2026).

He stated that through the Jogo Omah program, the police continue to encourage public involvement in providing information regarding suspected legal violations, including the distribution of illegal goods, the misuse of subsidized fuel, and the trade in protected wildlife.

"We also appreciate the public who have provided information about illegal acts to the police," said Jules.

Meanwhile, the Director of the East Java Regional Police's Water and Air Unit, Senior Superintendent Arman Asmara Syarifuddin, emphasized that every case is handled based on evidence, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

"We handle every case in accordance with applicable procedures and authorities. We conduct in-depth investigations based on the evidence and coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure that case handling is carried out in accordance with legal provisions," said Arman.
