inp.polri.go.id - Serang. The Banten Regional Police is strengthening student character development through the Police Care for Education (Poldik) program. This program is implemented simultaneously at the high school and vocational school levels to instill discipline, integrity, responsibility, and legal awareness from an early age.
Banten Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Hendra Kurniawan, stated that the program demonstrates police's commitment to education and an effort to build closer relationships between the police, schools, and students.
Hendra made this statement during his visit at Ciruas 1 High School, Serang Regency, on Monday (10/26/2026).
According to him, character education is an important foundation in preparing the younger generation to grow into high-achieving, responsible individuals capable of facing future challenges.
"Through this program, we hope to strengthen the relationship between the police and the school, while instilling the values of discipline and responsibility," Hendra said.
On the occasion, Hendra reminded students to avoid bad behaviors that could harm themselves and others. Several issues of concern included student brawls, bullying, drug abuse, and online gambling.
He also urged students to use social media wisely. He argued that digital technology should be used to support their study, develop creativity, and produce positive work, rather than to spread false news or hoaxes.
Hendra hopes this program will encourage the creation of a safe and conducive school environment, while strengthening students' character so they become more disciplined, uphold the law, and achieve success.
Through an educational approach and collaboration with schools, the National Police strives to play a role in guiding the younger generation to avoid risky behavior and grow into quality future generations of the nation.
