inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin reported on the achievements of priority health programs to President Prabowo this week. One of the main highlights was the Free Health Check (CKG) program, which had reached 42.3 million participants by 2026.
According to IdisNews on Sunday (8/9/2026), in their report, the Minister of Health stated that this year the Ministry of Health integrated TB detection with the CKG program. One-stop services are also being provided at community health centers (Puskesmas) so that screening, diagnosis, and treatment can be carried out on the same day.
In addition to CKG, the government is focusing on improving the quality of 66 regional public hospitals (RSUD) in the 3T (third-third) regions, aiming to upgrade them from class D to class C. Of the target of 22 RSUDs by 2025, 20 hospitals’ construction have been completed and 10 are already running. For 2026, 14 of the 20 planned RSUDs are already under construction.
The Ministry of Health also distributed 905 primary health care equipment to 258 districts/cities. The equipment distributed includes cath labs, CT scanners, mammograms, MRIs, and linear accelerators for cancer.
Jayapura General Hospital in Papua has also been completed and is ready for its inauguration. This hospital is projected to become a referral hospital for eastern Indonesia and even a Pacific health hub.
Going forward, the Ministry of Health will revitalize 514 district/city hospitals and 10,000 Puskesmas and Community Health Lab. This step aims to strengthen primary and referral services to ensure equitable distribution across Indonesia.
