Member of the Indonesian General Election Commission Idham Holik assured that the Vote Recapitulation System (Sirekap) still could be accessed by the public to monitor the election result process. “Currently, Sirekap is still working and could be accessed by the public,” said Idham Holik quoted from Antara on Tuesday (2/20/2024). Idham assessed that the improvement recommendation from Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) is actually a suggestion so that the data in Sirekap is more accurate. Because of that, KPU had temporarily stopped Sirekap to synchronize the data. Emphasized by Idham, Sirekap is a vote recapitulation assistance tool for the 2024 General Election. Therefore, Sirekap is part of KPU effort in fulfilling public rights to be informed about the recapitulation process. “We saw that Sirekap has strategic role, and currently we are focusing in data synchronizing in Sirekap with the authentic data from Model C Form photo,” said Idham Holik.
