Inp.polri.go.id - Gorontalo.  In preparation for the forthcoming 2024 elections, the Gorontalo Regional Police Chief Inspector General Angesta Romano led a deployment parade aimed at ensuring the security of the voting process on Monday (12/02/2024). The deployment parade saw the attendance of high-ranking officials and all personnel of the Gorontalo Regional Police involved in securing the polling stations . "This activity represents the final check of personnel and their equipment who will be responsible for security at the polling stations. We aim for the entire process of the 2024 elections, particularly the polling phase, to be conducted in an orderly, safe, and smooth manner," he said during his directives. Chief Yoyol  emphasized that all personnel involved in securing the polling stations have been briefed on what is permissible and what is not, from one day before the voting day until the post-voting phase. "I remind the personnel tasked with securing the polling stations: do not carry firearms, refrain from taking notes, avoid excessive focus on electronic devices such as mobile phones, coordinate with relevant agencies, set a good example for the public, demonstrate professionalism and humanity, refrain from any arrogant behavior, and maintain neutrality during the 2024 elections," he added.
