Inp.polri.go.id – Gorontalo. The Head of Gorontalo Regional Police Public Information Section, Police Assistant Superintendent Heny M. Rahayu reveals the preparation of his party and ranks in securing the 2024 General Election at Gorontalo Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) on Thursday (2/1/2024). In a talk show led by Budi Kantu, Heny conveys several concrete steps taken by Gorontalo Regional Police in maintaining security and order during the election. Heny also states that far before the election campaign period, Gorontalo Regional Police and ranks have implemented several operation trainings such as Lat Pra Ops and TFG. “We have showed our preparation level through operational training that has been held in simulation at Dafi Toni field to improve the capabilities, skills and understanding for the duty that they will take responsibly in preventing security disturbances,” adds Heny. Moreover, Heny also stated that 745 members of Gorontalo Regional Police were involved in the security operation and divided into various task forces. “Fortunately, as of now the situation in Gorontalo Province relatively safe and conducive. If there are any of our ranks require reinforcement for polling stations security, Gorontalo Regional Police has prepared spare personnel to aid them,” said Heny. In his closing statement, Heny also implore the general community to maintain public safety and order in their respective neighborhood during the election. “Safety could be realized optimally with the support and suggestions from the citizens of Gorontalo,” Heny told in his closing remarks.
