Kasan, Head of the Trade Policy Agency, pointed out four major food challenges that we need to prepare for, especially in the post-COVID-19 era, with the help of experts and practitioners. "First, we must understand how climate change affects food production and more," he was quoted by antaranews.com as saying. Secondly, he discussed disruptions in the supply chain caused by the COVID-19 pandemic following trade tensions between China and the United States, along with geopolitical issues involving Ukraine and Russia. "Starting in February 2022, a conflict broke out, which quickly led to interruptions in food supplies from Ukraine and Russia. This caused a spike in food prices," Kasan explained. The third challenge revolved around food processing technology and digital marketing to stabilize prices. Fourth, Kasan talked about countries with similar political interests.
