inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is ready to distribute educational assistance under the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) students for the 2026/2027 academic year, from October to November 2026, to support the 13-year compulsory education program.
Gogot Suharwoto, Director General of Early Childhood Education, Basic Education, and Non-Formal and Informal Education at the ministry, stated that the PIP PAUD distribution process will be carried out in the odd semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, using the Basic Education Data (Dapodik) cut-off date of August 31, 2026.
"The PIP PAUD distribution process will be carried out in the odd semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, using student data in Dapodik with a cut-off date of August 31, 2026," said Gogot on Tuesday (6/2/2026).
He said that educational units, including district/city education offices, can submit proposals every September.
Furthermore, Gogot stated that the distribution mechanism for PIP PAUD is the same as for PIP at other school levels. Therefore, he continued, the nomination of PIP PAUD recipients begins with the National Single Social and Economic Database (DTSEN) from underprivileged groups and then proceeds to school proposals.
Every PAUD student deemed eligible for PIP will receive an education assistance fund of IDR 450,000 per year, which will be transferred directly to an account registered in the Dapodik system.
For your information, strengthening the legal norm for 13 years of compulsory education, starting at the PAUD level, has been included in the draft revision of the National Education System Law (UU Sisdiknas).
This is a strategic step to strengthen the foundation of national education from an early age. With the inclusion of PAUD in the compulsory education scheme, the state is obliged to be fully present in the regulatory, financing, and quality assurance aspects of services.
