Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The government may block Roblox and other digital platforms if they are proven to promote violent behavior among youth, according to State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi on Tuesday (5/8/2025).

“If the content crosses the line and influences our children’s behavior, we won’t hesitate to shut it down. If it contains violence, we’ll block it. No problem,” he said at the Presidential Palace, responding to Minister of Education Abdul Mu’ti’s warning against students playing Roblox.

The State Secretary stressed that the government is monitoring all forms of digital content such as games, TV, social media, and news that may influence harmful behavior in children and adolescents, citing recent incidents of youth violence as alarming examples.

He added that the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs is conducting daily evaluations of content across platforms to detect violence, hate, and destructive behavior.
