Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the Ministry of Health to increase the number of dentists at community health centers, locally known as Puskesmas, after receiving a report on the Free Health Checkup (CKG) program's findings.
"The President asked what the top health issue was, and it turned out to be dental. Our dental health is very poor. Out of 10,000 Puskesmas, around 600 have no doctor, and about 4,000 have no dentist," said Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin on Tuesday night (5/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The President also approved the upcoming inauguration of three major hospitals, namely the Jayapura Regional Hospital, the newly built RS Pusat Otak Nasional (RS PON) in Jakarta, and a UAE-donated heart hospital in Solo.
RS PON, a Rp 1.03 trillion project, will serve as a national center for brain health services, education, and research, featuring advanced neurology facilities on a 116,000 m² site in East Jakarta.
