inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) supports digital innovations that strengthen the protection of intellectual property or copyrights created by Indonesians as an effort to strengthen national technological independence.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that the government supports this innovation by facilitating a pilot project to develop High Definition Extended Value (HDXV) smart file technology for copyright protection. This includes technical validation, limited testing with industry partners, evaluation of technical aspects and business models, and assessment of implementation readiness.
"The government is fully committed to safeguarding the independence of Indonesian technology. By strengthening the innovation ecosystem and implementing strict intellectual property protection, we must ensure that the commercialization of this technology can provide a real economic impact for creative industry practitioners," Riefky said on Wednesday (7/22/2026).
HDXV is a smart file technology that integrates digital media with copyright protection mechanisms directly within the file.
The development of the HDXV innovation is considered in line with the government's agenda to strengthen national technological independence, increase the added value of the creative economy, expand the use of intellectual property, and build a secure and competitive digital ecosystem.
Director of New Digital Technology, Dandy Yudha Feryawan, stated that this development is part of an effort to capture digital innovations that have the potential to support intellectual property protection, digital transformation, and strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia's technology-based creative economy ecosystem.
"This process is expected to open up opportunities for broader collaboration. This is part of the Ministry of Creative Economy's strategy, which emphasizes expanding collaboration with national innovators to encourage downstream innovation, technology commercialization, and the development of digital solutions relevant to the needs of the creative economy," he said.
