inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni submitted a decree (SK) approving the management of social forestry in Imsar Village, Nimboran District as a form of support for social forestry for Papuan indigenous communities.

Minister Raja said that his party wants to continue to improve cooperation with indigenous Papuans, especially in this region.

"We hope that the decree on the approval of social forestry management can be beneficial for indigenous Papuans here," said the Minister of Forestry on Thursday (11/28/2024).

According to Raja, the support of the central government through the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry regarding the approval of social forestry management is for the welfare of the community and the future generation of Papua.

"We ensure that forestry matters in the context of siding with the community will definitely be followed up seriously," said the Minister of Forestry.

He explained that through the Decree on approval of social forestry management, indigenous people's land will be more productive in the future.

"In principle, we are ready to support the welfare of the community according to our field (forestry) so that we can make more money," said the Minister of Forestry.

He said that with the money obtained, the community can later use it for schools, education, and children's health.
