inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi) hopes that the Indonesian National Police (INP) and the Indonesian Military (TNI) will not let their guard down in securing all stages of the regional elections after successfully holding a safe and peaceful voting day on November 27th, 2024.
"We hope that conditions like this will be maintained until the determination of the regional election results at the district, city or provincial level," said Lemkapi Executive Director, Edi Hasibuan on Thursday (11/28/2024).
Executive Director Edi asked all ranks of the security forces as well as law enforcement officers to focus on securing the 2024 simultaneous regional elections.
"We must act quickly and act professionally to anticipate regional election conflicts that could arise at any time," reminded Executive Director Edi.
However, he also thanked all security forces and the public for their role in maintaining the security situation during the voting day.
"We would like to express our gratitude to all ranks of INP and TNI and the support of the entire community in making the 2024 regional head election run safely and conducively," said Executive Director Edi.
Previously, the National Police Chief, General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, asked all ranks to remain vigilant for potential disturbances to public security and order after the vote count.
General Sigit said that security would be focused on areas in Indonesia that have a high level of vulnerability as mapped by the National Police Intelligence and Security Agency (Baintelkam) and the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu).
