Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan ensured that the Integrated Task Force for Handling Premanism and Mass Organizations (Ormas) will not hesitate to take action against mass organizations that disturb the community and disrupt investment or business activities.

According to Budi, the formation of the task force was carried out to realize security stability, legal certainty to guarantee the implementation of investment and business.

"The presence of the state must be felt by the community, especially in providing a sense of security, guaranteeing freedom of activity, and maintaining a healthy and competitive business climate," said Budi in a written statement received in Jakarta, quoted by Antaranews on Friday (5/8/2025).

In accordance with the direction of President Prabowo Subianto, he said that the state will not remain silent against various forms of actions that threaten public order and social stability.

According to him, the government has a constitutional responsibility to ensure that public spaces are not controlled by intimidation, violence, or coercion by certain groups.

He ensured that the government would not tolerate mass organizations that act outside the law, force their will through violence, or damage the social order. The state would be present to protect its citizens and uphold the dignity of the law.

"The government wants all people to feel safe, business people to feel protected, and Indonesia to be a comfortable place for investment and economic growth," he said.

With this policy, he hopes that a public space will be created that is free from acts of thuggery, free from the domination of violent groups, and provides a sense of justice and security that is evenly distributed to all citizens.
