Inp.polri.go.id - Yangon.  The government will begin repatriating 55 citizens caught in Myanmar’s KK Park online scam compound, following approval from local authorities, the Indonesian Embassy in Yangon confirmed on Saturday (22/11/2025).

“They will first travel by land from Myawaddy to Mae Sot on 8 December, before flying to Indonesia via Bangkok on 9 December 2025,” the Embassy said, adding that the operation involves coordination with both Myanmar and Thailand.

The 55 Indonesians were among multiple workers affected by an October law enforcement raid targeting one of Southeast Asia’s largest online scam hubs. While they are now cleared for repatriation, 180 other Indonesians remain in Myanmar awaiting relocation to a safe shelter due to limited capacity.

The Indonesian Embassy in Yangon urged those still in Myanmar to remain at secure locations and maintain communication with embassy officials, citing ongoing instability in the region. It also revealed that more than 200 additional Indonesians were detained in another large cybercrime raid in Shwe Koko on 17 November, bringing the total number of Indonesian victims to around 400.
