inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Bambang Soesatyo alias Bamsoet supports President Prabowo Subianto's plan to launch the Government Technology (GovTech) super app as a revolutionary step to combat corruption in government circles.

He assessed that digitalization through GovTech will present a stricter monitoring mechanism and reduce the room for manipulation in procurement of goods. This system also ensures budget transparency through a portal that can be accessed by the public, minimizing fictitious tender practices or mark-ups.

"By centralizing all services in one platform, the opportunity for misappropriation of public resources can be minimized. Supervision of budget management can also be carried out more effectively," said Bamsoet in Jakarta, Wednesday (5/28/2025).

According to him, GovTech is designed to integrate various applications that currently operate independently, thus allowing for better data and process synergy.

Currently, he said that government digital services are spread across more than 2,700 ministry/institution applications, without significant connectivity. This not only wastes resources, but also fosters corrupt practices.

"This integration is estimated to save up to IDR 100 trillion in the next few years, especially from cutting operational costs and preventing corruption," he said.

However, according to him, the challenges that may arise during the implementation of GovTech are the gap in digital literacy and internet infrastructure in remote areas. For this reason, steps such as training for village officials and collaboration with local start-ups could be a solution.
