inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, stated the readiness of the Ministry of Home Affairs to support the Indonesian Advocates Congress (KAI) as a strategic partner, both for the Ministry of Home Affairs at the central level and regional governments.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration with advocates in drafting regulations to resolve various legal issues.
This support is in line with the role of the Ministry of Home Affairs which has also produced various regulations that require contributions from advocates. The reason is, the Ministry of Home Affairs can draft certain laws, both on the initiative of the government and the House of Representatives (DPR).
"We will continue our support for KAI. At the Ministry of Home Affairs, there are many [legal] products," said Tito while giving a speech at the inauguration of the Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Advocates Congress for the 2025-2030 period in Jakarta, Tuesday (5/27/2025).
He said the regulations issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs include Government Regulations, Regulations of the Minister of Home Affairs (Permendagri), and reviews of regional regulations (Perda) throughout Indonesia.
Tito also expressed his hope that advocates, especially those who are members of KAI, can become strategic partners of the Ministry of Home Affairs and local governments.
"We hope that these advocates can become super problem solvers. So they can solve many problems, especially legal problems," said Tito.
To that end, he emphasized the readiness of the Ministry of Home Affairs to collaborate with KAI in drafting various regulations, especially in the non-litigation realm.
