Gus Baha, the Head of the Tahfidzul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School and the Institute for the Development of Quranic Studies (LP3IA) in Rembang, Central Java, appreciated the Indonesian National Police (INP) in maintaining peace during the 2024 elections. "I appreciate the Indonesian National Police for their relentless efforts in ensuring the safe and peaceful conduct of the elections," he said during.  a visit from the Nusantara Cooling System Operation (Ops NCS) Police team led by Brigadier General Gatot Repli Handoko, the Head of Ops NCS Public Relations. Gus Baha said that preserving unity and harmony is an embodiment of the nation's fundamental values and ideology, including Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, and the national motto, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity). "All parties must continue to maintain harmony, conduciveness, and unity. The smooth, peaceful, and orderly conduct of the elections is a testament to the progress of democracy," he added. General Gatot thanked Gus Baha's support, acknowledging the influential role of religious figures in ensuring the peaceful conduct of the 2024 elections. "The statements made by religious leaders serve as a means of calming the people and preventing anything that could divide the Indonesian nation," he remarked. Brigadier General M. Rudy Syafirudin, the Preemptive Task Force Commander, emphasized that the efforts of religious scholars and other religious figures are crucial in prevention. Their support contributes to the peaceful and harmonious conduct of the elections.
