inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf reminded all Hajj officers to maintain good quality service to Hajj pilgrims in the Hajj 1447 Hijri/2026 AD.
"Provide the best service to pilgrims, not seeking personal comfort. Hajj officers must be present with the spirit of serving, not being served. This must be continuously remembered in every task," said Irfan, Thursday (23/4/2026).
Irfan noted that the duties of Hajj officers are not merely administrative, but also include humanitarian duties and representation of the state.
"Every action you take reflects the state. The slightest mistake will be considered a mistake by the state, and your success is the success of the state," said Irfan
He also highlighted the importance of ethics in service. Officers are asked to be friendly, patient, polite, and empathetic toward pilgrims from diverse backgrounds, including age, education, and experience.
"We must avoid any words or actions that hurt the feelings of pilgrims. They may not express any complaints, but we must be sensitive to their needs," reminded Irfan.
Special attention is also requested for elderly pilgrims, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. According to him, serving these groups is not solely the responsibility of special officers, but of all Hajj officers.
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity while on duty. Officers are asked not to abuse their authority, avoid personal interests, and comply with applicable regulations in Saudi Arabia.
"Maintain honesty, discipline, and moral responsibility. Continue adapting to the situation at hand," he said.
