Said Iqbal, President of the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI), and Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for Manpower and Worker Welfare, extended his congratulations on the 80th Bhayangkara Day to all members of the Indonesian National Police (INP).
He commended INP for their continued service in providing professional and humane security, including in overseeing various workers' demonstrations.
According to Said Iqbal, INP’s presence during various labor demonstrations has provided a sense of security and ensured that public expression of opinion can proceed safely. He assessed that the police's approach thus far has demonstrated wisdom and prioritized the interests of the community.
"INP is always present among the community, including amidst labor demonstrations, managing them wisely and judiciously," said Said Iqbal in Jakarta on Monday (6/29/2026).
In addition to carrying out security functions, Said Iqbal also appreciated INP's contribution in helping resolve various industrial relations issues. According to him, INP plays a role in facilitating communication and helping find solutions to problems faced by workers.
"The police also assist in resolving various labor issues by providing solutions through proper mechanisms and in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.
The President of KSPI, who leads one of the largest labor union confederations in Indonesia, hopes that INP will continue to maintain professionalism, independence, and a humanistic approach in carrying out their duties as protectors, guardians, and servants of the public.
"We, the workers of Indonesia, express our gratitude and wish you a Happy 80th Anniversary. The Indonesian National Police is for the People," he emphasized.
