The Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin directly attends the monitoring on Cikatama KM 70 for the national one-way along with the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi and INP Traffic Corps Chief, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho.

In his monitoring, Budi appreciates INP, Transportation Ministry, and Jasa Marga for the decline in numbers of traffic accidents.

“I was so happy as compared to the data in 2024 from the police, there were 397 traffic accidents, far higher than this year's 220 accidents. On the other hand, the number of traffic accident victims are greatly in decline too, from 193 to 59. So, as the Health Minister, I was certainly happy for the news,” says Minister Budi Gunadi.

The Minister of Health explained that the World Health Organization (WHO) uses the number of traffic accidents as one of the indicators of a country's health, because they cause death. According to him, the Eid homecoming and return event often sees an increase in the number of accidents and the number of accident victims.

Therefore, said the Minister of Health, the decrease in the number of accidents during this year's Eid homecoming traffic should be celebrated.

He analyzed the decrease in the number of accidents during the 2025 Eid homecoming and return flow were due to the smooth flow of traffic. 

He concluded that good arrangements from the police, the Ministry of Transportation and Jasa Marga have contributed to reducing the number of traffic accidents in Operation Ketupat 2025. For that, the Minister of Health admitted that he was happy with the efforts and hard work of all stakeholders in organizing the homecoming and return flows.
