inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that his ministry has prepared health services and intensified education at various travel points to ensure that travelers, especially drivers, are safe during the return journey.

"We want to ensure that people return from their homecoming trip safely. The government has provided free health check-ups, especially for drivers, as they are crucial to ensuring safe travel," said the Minister of Health on Friday (3/27/2026).

In addition to health services, public education is also being intensified, particularly regarding the importance of regular rest breaks during long journeys. He urged drivers to rest every three hours, as fatigue and drowsiness are among the main causes of traffic accidents.

Budi expressed gratitude that, thanks to cross-sector synergy, the number of accidents during this year's homecoming and return journeys has reportedly decreased significantly.

Furthermore, the government is also encouraging the use of safer modes of transportation, such as motorcycle transportation services using trains, to reduce the risk of accidents on the road.

"Motorcycle transportation facilities via trains can be a solution to reduce congestion and reduce the risk of accidents, especially for long-distance riders," explained Budi.

Meanwhile, the implementation of one-way traffic engineering remains part of efforts to support the smooth flow of traffic back home, while also providing space for safer and more controlled mobility.

The government encourages all people to utilize available health services and maintain good physical condition during the trip, for the safety of all.

Furthermore, the government continues to strengthen security efforts for the Eid al-Fitr homecoming flow through traffic engineering and health services to ensure that people can travel safely, comfortably, and remain healthy.
