Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Head of Data, Information, and Disaster Communication Center of National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) Abdul Muhari says a helicopter will be prepared to support the emergency response handling of the Ruang Mountain eruption.

“There is one helicopter prepared in Klabat Football Field, Manado City. The helicopter is ready to support every emergency needs, either for transporting logistic support or evacuating the people of Sitaro Island,” said Abdul quoted from RRI on Sunday (4/21/2024).

In his statement, he hopes the emergency situation response could go optimally with the presence of the helicopter as previously aid transportation mainly used ships from National SAR Agency and Indonesian Navy.

“Safety of the people is our priority. There are 11,624 people in Sitato Island affected by the eruption on Thursday, April 18th, 2024,” said Abdul.

Abdul assures that most people affected by the eruption have been evacuated to the evacuation posts, including in the emergency post, houses of worship, and their relative house.
