Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral video circulating on Facebook that claims Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka announced a government assistance fund worth Rp100 million has been debunked as a complete hoax. The deepfake footage features a manipulated audio track designed to deceive the public into believing a massive cash distribution program had been launched.
According to a fact-check investigation published by Kompas.com, there is absolutely no credible or official documentation regarding this purported financial aid. Digital forensics conducted via the Hive Moderation platform revealed that the voice track mimicking the Vice President was synthetically generated using artificial intelligence, showing a 98.9 percent probability of being an AI deepfake.
The original video used to create the hoax was stripped from the official YouTube channel of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, originally broadcasted on October 22, 2025. In the authentic footage, Vice President Gibran was delivering a formal speech to commemorate National Santri Day and made no mention of any financial aid programs.
