inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) revealed that liquid narcotics are difficult to detect without special urine test kits.
During a courtesy visit to Jakarta on Thursday (6/18/2026), BNN Head Suyudi Ario Seto stated that the rampant circulation of liquid narcotics, such as liquid marijuana and liquid methamphetamine, presents a new challenge for officers in the field.
"Therefore, we strive to strengthen its detection technology capacity and are proposing budget optimization support with Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) to address the circulation of these new addictive substances," said Suyudi, in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Monday (6/22/2026).
He also outlined a number of activities being intensified by the BNN, including the commemoration of International Anti-Narcotics Day (HANI), which falls on June 26th.
Unlike previous years, he stated that this year's commemoration will feature a series of community-focused activities, such as community service, sports activities, and various competitions.
Suyudi further explained that the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) will also collaborate with the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (Kementerian PPPA).
This collaboration is considered crucial given the crucial overlap in tasks, as the current trend of drug abuse increasingly targets vulnerable groups, particularly children and families.
