Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk asked regional governments to proactively support the Joint Movement to Strengthen Villages and Sub-districts on Tuberculosis Alert.
This was conveyed at the National Launch of the Joint Movement to Strengthen Villages and Sub-districts on Tuberculosis Alert at the Rambutan Sub-district Office, Ciracas District, Jakarta, Friday (5/8/2025).
This movement was launched by the Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
Ribka assessed that Minister Budi is actively cares and paid close attention to public health.
The Minister of Health is also considered to routinely coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs in implementing health programs.
She emphasized that this joint movement needs to be responded to quickly by all regions in Indonesia.
"That's what we are trying to do, to reach from Sabang to Merauke," said Ribka in her statement in Jakarta, Friday.
She also appealed to the regional government to accommodate the program, especially in terms of budget. She emphasized that the handling of tuberculosis has a strong legal basis, namely Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 67 of 2021 concerning Tuberculosis Control.
"Actually, the regulatory basis already exists, it only needs to be implemented," she said.
She added that her party would check the regional governments, both at the provincial and district/city levels, which have or have not followed up on the program. She also expressed her appreciation to the regions, including Rambutan Village, which have paid attention to tuberculosis control.
