Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian has urged regional administrations to immediately clear their areas of visual waste, including banners, pamphlets, and billboards.
Speaking at the 2025 Technical Coordination Meeting for Development Planning on Wednesday (12/3/2025), he emphasized that it followed up President Prabowo Subianto’s priority on waste management and urban cleanliness.
"The President has stressed the importance of waste management and keeping cities clean," Minister Tito said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He highlighted that excessive banners and billboards in public spaces, particularly in tourist areas like Bali and Puncak, disrupt aesthetics.
Minister Tiito suggested designating specific areas for advertisements to maintain urban order.
