Inp.polri.go.id - Badung. The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Badung, Bali, has beenpreparing special immigration lanes for delegates attending the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) in Nusa Dua from 1 to 3 September 2024.
Head of Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Suhendra, confirmed on Monday (12/8/2024) that his office worked with PT Angkasa Pura II, the state-owned airport operator, and Ngurah Rai Airport authorities for the smooth processing for the delegates.
The office has been finalizing the installation of additional automated immigration gates (autogates) at both the international arrival and departure terminals at Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Currently, 60 autogates are operational in the arrival terminal, with 24 more being installed in the departure terminal, expected to be completed by the end of August 2024. An additional six autogates will be added in September, bringing the total to 90, according ao antaranews.com.
These automated gates significantly reduce processing time from minutes to 20-30 seconds per person, improving efficiency for international travelers.
The 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum will be attended by heads of state, panel discussions, exhibitions, business meetings, and more. The event aims to address economic transformation, energy, mining, food security, health resilience, and development cooperation.
