Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia and Denmark have reviewed their ongoing partnership in the field of intellectual property (IP) and outlined plans for 2025 during a recent meeting in Jakarta.

Throughout 2024, Indonesia’s Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) and Denmark’s Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) implemented various initiatives, including law enforcement training, capacity building for intellectual property examiners, and workshops on intellectual property utilization and commercialization.

“This partnership is vital not just for DJKI but for all stakeholders in Indonesia’s IP ecosystem,” said Yasmon, DJKI’s Director of Cooperation, Empowerment, and Education, on Saturday (25/1/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

For 2025, he proposed three key programs: strengthening human resources for patent, trademark, and design examiners; sharing knowledge on Indonesia’s National IP Strategy; and training on tackling digital piracy for Indonesia’s IP Task Force.

DJKI Secretary Andrieansyah also suggested exploring artificial intelligence (AI) applications in IP services, hoping Denmark could share its expertise to help Indonesia modernize its IP system and address global challenges.
