Inp.polri.go.id - Karawang. Heavy traffic on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road during the Islamic day of  Isra Mi'raj and Lunar New Year holidays has led authorities to implement contraflow traffic management.

Ria Marlinda Paallo, the VP Corporate Secretary at state-owned PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll (PT JTT), said that a single contraflow lane was enforced from KM 47 to KM 65 toward Cikampek starting at 9.21 am on Saturday (25/1/2025) to alleviate congestion.

Drivers are urged to prioritize safety, follow designated contraflow lanes, and use the inner shoulder only in emergencies. 

“Travelers are advised to ensure vehicles are in good condition, maintain adequate electronic toll balances, refuel beforehand, and drive carefully,” Ria said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Congestion has worsened due to long queues at rest areas, notably at KM 57, where back extend onto the main toll road, further disrupting traffic flow.

Motorists are reminded to rest at designated areas when needed, obey traffic signs, and follow directions from on-site officials to ensure smoother travel
