Inp.polri.go.id - London. Indonesia and the United Kingdom have officially launched the Indonesia–UK Economic Growth Partnership to strengthen bilateral cooperation across key economic sectors.
The partnership was signed in London on Monday (19/1/2026), by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade Peter Kyle, alongside President Prabowo Subianto’s official visit.
“This historic agreement elevates UK–Indonesia trade relations to a higher level and expands cooperation in clean energy, digital economy, infrastructure, education, and health services,” UK Ambassador to Indonesia Dominic Jermey said, as quoted by antaranews.com
The partnership aims to address non-tariff barriers, support exporters, and boost two-way investment, while creating new business opportunities for both countries. It also reflects a shared commitment to sustainable growth and long-term economic resilience.
The signing forms part of President Prabowo’s UK agenda, which includes meetings with Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles III, and discussions on broader strategic cooperation.
