inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP), through the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol Indonesia, successfully conducted a fugitive exchange with the People's Republic of China (PRC) Police. This collaboration demonstrates the synergy between cross-border law enforcement in pursuing criminals who have fled abroad.

Under this reciprocal mechanism, the NCB of Interpol Indonesia repatriated three fugitive Chinese citizens who had fled to Indonesia. Conversely, the PRC Police handed over one fugitive Indonesian citizen hiding in PRC territory to the INP.

The Secretary of the NCB of Interpol Indonesia, Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko, stated that the successful exchange was the result of close coordination and cooperation between the INP and PRC law enforcement authorities.

"This success demonstrates the commitment of INP, through the NCB of Interpol Indonesia, to strengthening international cooperation to ensure that criminals have no safe space to evade the legal process. Strong synergy with the PRC Police is key to ensuring the smooth, safe, and legal implementation of this fugitive exchange," said Untung.

The repatriation of three fugitive Chinese citizens was carried out in two stages. On the first departure, two fugitives, identified as ZR and LZ, departed for Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou, arriving on Friday (7/10/2026) morning local time. Meanwhile, another fugitive, HZ, was repatriated on the second departure and arrived in China on Saturday (7/11/2026). All three were handed over to the Chinese Police along with the recovered evidence.

Meanwhile, an Indonesian fugitive, identified as KT, suspected of involvement in fraud or embezzlement, was successfully repatriated from China and arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Monday (7/13/2026) evening. Upon arrival in Indonesia, he was immediately handed over by the NCB Interpol Indonesia to police investigators for further investigation and law enforcement.

Untung emphasized that this success reflects the effectiveness of the Interpol network in supporting international law enforcement.
