Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Environment and Forestry Hanif Faisol Nurofiq reaffirmed Indonesia's commitment to combating climate change, highlighting the country’s ongoing efforts as outlined by President Prabowo Subianto at international forums.

Speaking at a meeting with Commission XII of the House of Representatives (DPR)on Wednesday (5/2/2025), he stressed that despite the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Agreement under President Donald Trump, Indonesia remains committed to climate action.

Minister Hanif referenced President Prabowo Subianto's statement during the 2024 G20 Summit in Brazil, emphasizing the nation’s ongoing dedication to reducing global temperatures, according to antaranews.com.

Indonesia’s efforts will be guided by President Prabowo’s Asta Cita program in 2025, focusing on water independence, green economy, and climate-resilient development.

Key performance indicators for 2025 include a 26.67% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, improved waste management, and stronger environmental resilience through circular economy initiatives.
