Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia has officially extradited Russian citizen Alexander Vladimirovich Zverev to the Russian Federation following legal approval and a presidential decree.
The South Jakarta District Court had granted the extradition request on 1 November 2024.
“Indonesia has no legal jurisdiction over Zverev’s crimes, as all offenses occurred in Russia,” said Attorney General’s spokesperson Harli Siregar, as quoted by antaranews.com on Thursday (10/7/2025).
The South Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office served as the executing agency, while the Attorney General’s Office oversaw the legal coordination.
Zverev (33), arrested in June 2022 at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, was wanted by Russian authorities for alleged offenses including bribery and violations under Russia’s anti-corruption and cybercrime laws.
Indonesia upheld the extradition based on the principle of dual criminality, meaning the alleged crimes are also offenses under Indonesian law.
