The loss pushed Indonesia down to fifth place in Group C with six points, while Australia strengthened its position in second place with ten points, according to antaranews.com.
Despite an early opportunity from Jay Idzes in the fourth minute, Indonesia struggled to capitalize on chances. A missed penalty by Kevin Diks further complicated their efforts. Australia quickly took control, scoring three goals in the first half through Martin Boyle (penalty), Nishan Velupillay, and Jackson Irvine.
Indonesia managed to pull one goal back in the 78th minute through Ole Romeny, but Australia sealed their dominant victory with a fifth goal in the 90th minute. Indonesia now faces an uphill battle in their remaining qualifiers.
