Inp.polri.go.id - Guests and delegates were welcomed with Banten traditional dance as they arrived in Soekarno Hatta International Airport to attend the 43rd ASEAN Summit, Tuesday (9/5/2023). The governor of Banten Ali Muktabar says that the welcoming dance was to show how rich and warm Indonesian culture is. “I am also grateful with this international event which we are able to showcase our culture to the world,” says Ali. Such warm welcome was also received by the Premier of Cook Island Mark Brown. Brown states that he likes sop buah that was offered to him when he arrived at the VIP Soekarno Hatta Airport terminal. “By being the host of ASEAN Summit with how diverse the guests are, we can strengthen our bond with the others which then can be translated into world peace,” adds Ali. Other than Mark Brown, Prime Minister of Timor-Leste Xanana also welcomed with warm greetings as he stepped foot at the VIP Soekarno Hatta Airport terminal. The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno and the Ambassador of Vietnam, Ta Van Thong were also stand by at the airport to welcome the delegates and Premier of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh. The delegates of Vietnam were greeted with Betawi traditional dance as they enter the VVIP Terminal 3.
