The event, scheduled from 19 to 25 October 2025, will welcome 600 athletes and a total of 1,200 participants, including officials and judges from 78 countries.
The successful bid, led by the Indonesian Gymnastics Association (PB PERSANI), met FIG's stringent criteria, encompassing venue selection, accommodation, transportation, and medical provisions, as reported by antaranews.com.
PB Persani Secretary General Sri Sundari stressed on Friday (3/5/2024) the pivotal role of governmental and ministerial support in ensuring the event's success.
Participation in the 2025 Championship is vital for Olympic qualification, positioning it as a stepping stone toward the 2028 Olympics, she said.
The championship will feature a mix of artistic and rhythmic gymnastics events, with high hopes pinned on Jakarta's Indonesia Arena for a smooth and memorable hosting experience.
PB Persani sought support from government entities such as the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ministry of Health for the success of the event.
