Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore is providing full legal and administrative assistance to a family following a fatal traffic accident in Chinatown on Friday morning.

The incident, which occurred near the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, claimed the life of six-year-old girl Sheyna Lashira while her mother, Raisha Anindra, remains in intensive care at a local hospital.

“The Indonesian Embassy Singapore has contacted the victim's family, met with the father, and visited the hospital to provide necessary support and assistance,” said Heni Hamidah, Acting Director for the Protection of Citizens at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Sunday (8/2/2026).

The child’s body was repatriated to Jakarta early Sunday morning and buried at the Tanah Kusir Cemetery. Preliminary reports indicate the victims were struck by a car exiting a parking lot; the driver, a female Singaporean, has been detained by Singaporean authorities.

The Indonesian embassy continues to coordinate with local police to ensure a thorough investigation and monitor the mother’s medical progress.
