inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. The Bandarlampung Sub-regional City Police invite students to maintain tolerance, strengthen brotherhood, and preserve national unity as part of efforts to realize Golden Indonesia 2045.

This invitation was conveyed by Bandarlampung Sub-regional City Police Chief, Senior Superintendent  Eko Bagus Riyadi, when confirmed in Bandarlampung on Friday (10/23/2026). He emphasized that students play a crucial role in maintaining harmony amidst the diversity of Indonesian society.

"Santri must maintain the unity of this nation and instill an attitude of tolerance towards others," said Eko.

According to him, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are not only places to acquire religious knowledge, but also environments that instill national values, discipline, and a spirit of brotherhood. These values are expected to be applied by students in their daily lives.

He added that diversity is a national treasure that must be safeguarded together. Therefore, differences in perspective or background should not be a reason for division.

"Differences are not a reason for division. In fact, with a spirit of brotherhood, tolerance, and mutual cooperation, we can maintain unity and create a safe and conducive environment," he said.

Eko also emphasized that maintaining public order and security is not solely the responsibility of the police. The support and participation of the community, including those in Islamic boarding schools, is needed to create a peaceful and harmonious environment.

National Santri Day, he continued, also serves as an opportunity to commemorate the struggle of Islamic scholars and students in gaining and maintaining Indonesian independence. This spirit of struggle needs to be carried forward by the younger generation through positive contributions to the nation.

Therefore, he encouraged the students to continuously improve themselves, broaden their horizons, and prepare themselves to face the challenges of the times.
