Inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. A total of 150 Indonesian National Police (INP) officers completed pre-deployment training for international UN peacekeeping duties as part of the Garuda Bhayangkara FPU 8 Minusca Task Force on Friday (11/9/2026). 

A beret ceremony held in the Gumuk Pasir area, Bantul, Yogyakarta, marked the readiness of the unit, comprising 124 male and 26 female officers, to deploy to the Central African Republic.

"The 150 officers participated in a series of ceremony training exercises," said Head of the INP International Relations Division, Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko. "Bantul and Gunungkidul were selected for pre-deployment exercises to maintain officers skills, stamina, and cohesion."

Officers underwent field training from 6 to 11 September 2026, utilizing sandy, rugged terrain designed to replicate operational conditions in Bangui. The task force will serve a 12 to 14-month UN mandate carrying out humanitarian and peacebuilding missions.
