Inp.polri.go.id - Hong Kong. The Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong (KJRI Hong Kong) has urged Indonesians living in Hong Kong and Macau to strictly follow local emergency protocols as Super Typhoon Ragasa is expected to pass through southern China between23 to 25 September 2025.
The Hong Kong Observatory has projected strong winds and potential storm surges,antaranews.com reported on Monday (22/9/2025).
In line with Hong Kong government measures, all public services, including passport and consular services at KJRI Hong Kong, will be suspended once Typhoon Signal No. 8 (T8) or higher is issued. Services will resume two hours after the signal is lowered.
Indonesians are advised to monitor updates through the Hong Kong Observatory’s website (https://www.hko.gov.hk), and those with existing passport bookings may use their booking code within seven working days after services reopen.
For emergencies, Indonesians can contact local authorities via 999, the KJRI hotline at +852 5242 2240, or the panic button at +852 6773 0466. The consulate said it will continue coordinating with local authorities to monitor and mitigate risks for Indonesians in the region.
