inp.polri.go.id - Kendari. The Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Traffic Directorate launched an innovative driver's license (SIM) service called SIMPUL (SIM Masuk Pulau). This program aims to make it easier for people in the island, particularly Konawe Islands Regency or Wawonii Island, to access SIM issuance services.

The Director of Traffic for the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Argowiyono, stated that SIMPUL was officially launched on Sunday (7/5/2026) after a series of preparations from May 22 to July 2, 2026.

"This program demonstrates our commitment to providing closer, faster, and more accessible SIM services to residents of island regions," said Argowiyono.

Program preparations were carried out through coordination meetings, evaluations, and inspections of facilities and infrastructure led directly by the Director of Traffic for the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police and the Sub-Directorate of Registration and Identification.

A number of facilities were also prepared, including mobile driver's license (SIM Keliling) vehicles integrated into the SIMPUL fleet, vehicle interior design, installation of fingerprint scanners and an Electronic Audio Visual Integrated System (E-AVIS), and software integration with the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps system.

The Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Traffic Directorate hopes that the SIMPUL program will expand the distribution of traffic administration services across the archipelago and demonstrate a transformation of INP's public services, enabling residents in remote areas to obtain driver's license services more easily.
