Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Chief Indonesian National Police (INP) Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo recently engaged in a coordination effort with Erick Thohir, Chairman of the All Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), to oversee the proper execution of matches. He stressed that they have uncovered signs of misconduct by match officials. As a result, the Anti-Football Mafia Task Force is slated to initiate an investigation in the near future.

"Our commitment is exemplified by the establishment of the Anti-Football Mafia Task Force, aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of Liga 1, 2, 3 and the development of professional athletes capable of competing at national and international levels," he stated at INP Headquarters in South Jakarta on Monday (26/6/23).

Meanwhile, the Chairman of PSSI acknowledged that the Indonesian National Police (INP) currently holds the relevant data and works in alignment with the special team established by PSSI. He expressed gratitude towards the Chief of INP and his team.

"This serves as a concrete demonstration of the INP's role in combating corruption within the football industry," the Chairman said.

In addition, he emphasized the shared standards and ongoing coordination between the INP and PSSI, with collaborative efforts encompass various aspects, including the fight against football-related corruption and the assurance of match security. He concluded with the optimism that legal measures would be carried out transparently.
