The Indonesian National Police (INP) Cyber Crime Directorate investigative team uncovered a large international online gambling network operating through several popular websites. Three suspects, identified as AF, BI, and MR, were arrested on August 20, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m. in North Jakarta.
The Head of Sub-Directorate 1 of INP Cyber Crime Directorate, Senior Superintendent Rizki Agung Prakoso, stated that the three suspects served as customer service (CS) admins and lead operators/marketing CS for the gambling sites Slotbola88, Inibet77, and Rajaspin. These sites are known to serve players from various countries, including Indonesia.
He stated that this disclosure resulted from the arrest of five suspected online gambling players by the Yogyakarta Regional Police's Special Criminal Investigation Directorate on July 10, 2025. He stated that after conducting an in-depth digital search, investigators discovered a direct link between the players and the network of operators managed by AF, BI, and MR.
"This arrest is part of the police's commitment to eradicating cybercrime, particularly online gambling, which has become a real threat to society," he said on Monday (8/25/2025).
According to him, the three suspects have been detained since August 21, 2025. They are charged under multiple articles: Article 45 Paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 27 Paragraph 2 of the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law, Articles 82 and 85 of the Fund Transfer Law, Article 303 of the Criminal Code, and Articles 3, 4, and 5 of the Money Laundering Law (TPPU).
"The maximum sentence they face is 20 years in prison," explained Rizki.
