The Vice Head of Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit as the head ops of Nusantara Cooling System, Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri reminds the importance of INP and community collaboration in realizing safe elections. Collaboration Asep meant was to be the cooling system which would serve as preventive measures for security disturbances potential. “The president and INP chief have emphasized the importance of the institution in safeguarding the elections so as not the community got divided. For that purpose, INP and the community itself needs to collaborate in becoming the cooling system to realize peaceful elections,” calls Asep on Monday (10/2/2023). He then further explains that INP plans to carried out Nusantara Cooling System Operations which has begun since last September 11th, 2023. The operation is aimed to suppress the negative issues or hoaxes with preemptive and preventive measures. The operations involved four task forces and eight sub-task forces. “The way of its operation would involve social communication, dialog patrol, and cyber patrol. We hope for your cooperation to prevent and avoid anything that could threatened the elections,” explains Asep. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
